1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Hasanat (hasanat.dev), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please do not use the platform.
These terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Hasanat. Please read them carefully.
2. Description of Service
Hasanat is free, open-source, non-commercial community infrastructure for shaping needs and ideas, forming multidisciplinary teams, and operating useful projects. The platform provides:
- Submitting ideas for Islamic and charitable apps and projects.
- Voting on ideas to prioritize them.
- Commenting on and discussing ideas.
- Creating a contributor profile with roles, skills, and availability.
- Forming teams, connecting GitHub Projects, and following user feedback.
- Showing projects in development and apps that are ready to use.
- AI-powered idea enhancement.
- Subscribing to a newsletter for updates.
A revenue-generating project may be listed when it explains its public benefit, financial model, pricing or free-tier limits, and material relationships, and links its own terms and privacy policy. Listing does not mean Hasanat endorses or certifies the project's pricing, security, content, business model, or religious accuracy.
The platform is provided "as is" without any warranties. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
3. User Accounts
Authentication on the platform is handled through Google or GitHub OAuth. When you sign in:
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of the authentication-provider account you choose.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur through your account on the platform.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
- You must not share your login session with others.
Guests may browse public content, submit a need or idea, cast one vote under the duplicate-prevention mechanism, and send product feedback without signing in. Discussions and replies, solution proposals, contributor profiles, team applications, project leadership, and workspace operations require authentication.
4. User Content
When you submit content on the platform (ideas, comments, apps, solutions), you:
- Retain ownership of the content you submit.
- Grant the platform a license that is non-exclusive, worldwide, and royalty-free to display, publish, and host the content on the platform.
- Acknowledge that the content is public and will be visible to all platform visitors.
- Are responsible for the content you publish and warrant that it does not infringe on the rights of others.
As an open-source platform, submitted ideas are considered community contributions. We encourage sharing ideas in a spirit of collaboration and lasting public benefit.
5. Acceptable Use
When using the platform, you must not:
- Post abusive, obscene, or content that incites hatred or violence.
- Post content that violates Islamic principles or contradicts Islamic values.
- Send spam or commercial advertising content.
- Impersonate others or provide misleading information.
- Attempt unauthorized access to platform systems or user data.
- Manipulate the voting system or create multiple accounts for that purpose.
- Distribute malware or harmful links.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Scrape or automatically collect other users' data without permission.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms and to ban offending users without prior notice.
6. Intellectual Property
Platform content: The Hasanat platform source code is open source and licensed under an open-source license. The design, branding, and "Hasanat" logo are owned by the platform.
User content: Users retain their intellectual property rights over the content they submit. By submitting content, you grant us a license to display it on the platform as described in the "User Content" section above.
Third-party content: Some content displayed on the platform may be owned by third parties. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same.
7. AI Enhancement
The platform offers an AI-powered idea enhancement feature through the Anthropic API. By using this feature:
- You consent to your idea text being sent to Anthropic servers for processing.
- No personal data is sent — only the idea content.
- AI-suggested results are suggestions only and do not represent the platform's opinion.
- You retain the right to accept or reject the suggested enhancements.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated output.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
We do not warrant that the platform will always be available, error-free, or absolutely secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any content on the platform, including ideas, comments, and apps submitted by users.
This is a volunteer community platform operated by individuals on a personal basis. We do our best to provide a good service, but cannot offer commercial guarantees.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the platform operator nor its contributors shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from:
- Your use or inability to use the platform.
- Any content posted on the platform by users.
- Any unauthorized access to your personal data.
- Any interruption of service or loss of data.
- AI-generated outputs or any recommendations provided through the platform.
This platform is free and non-commercial. The operator assumes no financial liability beyond this.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the platform at any time, without prior notice, if:
- You violate any of these Terms of Use.
- You engage in harmful or abusive activities on the platform.
- You request deletion of your account.
You may stop using the platform at any time. If you wish to delete your account and data, please contact us.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the platform after modifications are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Since the project is open source, you can track changes through the GitHub repository.
12. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms shall be resolved amicably first, and if no resolution is reached, shall be referred to the competent judicial authorities.
13. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
14. Open Source
Hasanat is an open-source project. We welcome community contributions through the GitHub repository. Contributions to the source code are subject to the project's open-source license.
